We commence the day at Crawley Boatshed with an introduction on landscape photography, capturing Perths most photographed building. It's next over to Swan River to capture Perths impressive city lights where we end the day putting your new skills into practice.

To ensure you learn the maximum in the one day, Shaun only concentrates on one on one tuition or two if you bring a friend.

What you will learn on this course and what's included -

  • Introduction to photography 
  • Understanding Aperture, White Balance and ISO and how to change them
  • Identifying best light conditions and opportunities for landscape photography
  • Using and altering your cameras manual settings to capture professional looking photos
  • Setting up your tripod using built in level devices on both your camera and tripod 
  • Using your camera beyond auto focus to manual focus and how to capture sharp images everytime
  • Using filters to enhance the light of your photo ( not necessary but a benefit ) Recommend a Polariser Filter Lens
  • Establishing rule of thirds for professional photos size up and framing
  • How to take photos during the daytime with blaring sun

Full Day Course ( Perth Metro )

Cost Per Individual - $500 - 10hrs | Bring A Friend - $420 Each

We commence the day at Matilda Bay foreshore with an introduction into landscape photography. We use this location for its calm shores and impressive boats that use the Matilda Bay yacht pens. This scene is ideal to learn the basics of shutter speeds, ISO settings and apertures. We then wonder over to a secret local location to Matilda Bay to concentrate on developing those skills by capturing dreamy waterfalls. We finnish the day by heading to Swan River foreshore to put your skills into overdrive by capturing Perths impressive night city skyline and introducing you to filters.

  • Introduction to exposure compensation
  • Controlling shutter speed to control the mood of your photo
  • How to take dreamy Waterfall photos ( seasons permitting )
  • How to take photos during the daytime with blaring sun
  • Late afternoon / Early evening light shoot ( Perth City Skyline )
  • Introduction into quality printers versus kiosk printers and how this effects your work and end result
